The importance of understanding ‘YOUR Feet’ through Grounding and Reflexology.

Enjoy a Self Nourishing 2 Hour Workshop where you will understand why it’s so important to connect to ‘YOUR Feet’!!

You will learn grounding practises to connect to yourself, have a nurturing Epsom salts foot soak as-well as experiencing working Reflexology points through gently massaging your feet and feeling the benefits for doing that.

Somatic-based techniques empower you to gently regulate your own nervous system, allowing difficult emotions to safely move through your system rather than getting trapped.

Within you lies an incredible healing system — your parasympathetic nervous system. Quietly and gently, it offers sanctuary, guiding you back toward calm, ease, and emotional harmony. But in today’s fast-paced world, many of us are perpetually trapped in a state of heightened alertness, never allowing our body the time it needs to rest and heal. Enter somatic practices, which can help us cultivate a relationship with our parasympathetic system, enabling a soothing wave of calm to wash over us.

How do somatic practices restore emotional balance? Somatic-based techniques empower you to gently regulate your own nervous system, allowing difficult emotions to safely move through your system rather than getting trapped. By feeling into your body and sensing its subtle responses, you shift your awareness from racing thoughts to the stability and groundedness of presence. Mindfully nurturing your body sends a clear signal of safety to your nervous system and creates an environment where emotional peace and calm naturally thrive.

Techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, gentle yoga, and other mindful forms of exercise guide us back to our bodies, promoting an internal dialogue that encourages the parasympathetic system to take the driver’s seat. Your nervous system knows the way home to ease, stability, and balance. Embrace gentle, somatic-based practices as a profound, loving journey back to yourself, again and again.

Ayurveda is a truly holistic and integral medical system that treats human beings as a ‘whole’, which is a combination of body, mind and soul. Ayurvedic treatments bring the body back into balance for optimum wellness.

This is my third seasonal retreat with The Karma Studio and I think I’m addicted! Jenn, Howard and Mahesh are wonderful facilitators, they make the weekend flow smoothly as well as making all our activities and food educational and enjoyable. Apart from the structured activities there is plenty of spare time for walks, massage treatments (On site) and general “me time “! A wonderful experience not to be missed!!!

Janet

You created a safe nurturing space for me to explore my thoughts, feelings and emotion’s supporting me to get back into my body. I feel like I’ve been away for weeks and have been given so many tools and ideas to explore further over the coming months. I know I will never be the same following on from these 3 days and I truly feel like this is the beginning of a whole new way of being for me. I can’t thank Jennifer, Howard and Mahesh enough!

My once empty cup is now OVERFLOWING!!

Emma

When you embark on a retreat you expect a certain standard of accommodation and comfort. A retreat with the Karma Studio certainly offers this – and so much more! As a busy woman balancing a full-time job, study and caring responsibilities, I was reluctant to take the plunge and commit to a 3-day experience, knowing there’s a lot of these retreat experiences touted around out there. In addition to that I was concerned, as a woman with disability, that I may not be able to participate fully, may not fit in and would feel like an outsider. Those fears were so quickly resolved! The retreat experience saw me accepted, welcomed and supported every step of the way without it feeling at all intrusive. I could participate in every activity and found common ground with the other participants. It was truly transformative. I believe in the saying “if it’s to be it’s up to me”. But many times our world does not create the conditions for us to realise this. This retreat showed me that there are fellow travellers who will support you and you can also support them through care and connection. It empowered me to take the steps I need to take for healing and transformation.

Thanks Jenn, Howard and Mahesh.
